Cruise from the mainland to beautiful Kangaroo Island on the ferry. Upon arrival meet your friendly local driver-guide for your 2-day adventure.

Stop At: Pennington Bay Rd, Pelican Lagoon, Kangaroo Island, South Australia Australia
Take in the views of Pelican lagoon your first stop is magnificent Pennington Bay the spiritual home of Kangaroo Island surfers and look out for the local pods of bottlenose dolphins often spotted playing here in the surf. This is where you can begin to admire the rugged south coast of Kangaroo Island and its beautiful beaches.
Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Raptor Domain, 58 Seal Bay Rd, Seal Bay, Kangaroo Island, South Australia 5223 Australia
Then on to Raptor Domain for an exciting and interactive “In-Flight” Birds of Prey Display. Meet an array of birds including a Wedge-tailed Eagle, Barn Owl, laughing Kookaburras and many more! After all the feathered entertainment sit down to a fresh lunch of wraps, fruit salad and tea or coffee.

Stop At: Flinders Chase National Park, South Coast Road, Kangaroo Island, South Australia Australia
After lunch, we head to famous Flinders Chase National Park where you can enjoy coastal scenery including the spectacular Admirals Arch, a beautiful natural rock arch shaped by the powerful Southern Ocean where seals are plentiful. No Kangaroo Island experience would be complete without a visit to one of the island's signature landmarks, Remarkable Rocks. It took 500 million years for rain, wind, and pounding waves to create these aptly named granite boulders which are part of the National Parks. This area has recently endured the worst fires on record and you can witness the instant regrowth and the resilience of the environment.

Stop At: American River, American River, Kangaroo Island, South Australia
Travel to your accommodation for the night at the Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge, American River. Check-in and enjoy some free time before a delicious 2-course dinner (includes the option of Kangaroo Island King George Whiting, and Rib Eye Steak plus more options) at Mercure Reflections restaurant.
Duration: 6 hours

• Lunch: A fresh lunch of wraps, fruit salad and tea or coffee is provided at Raptor Domain.

Day 2: Kangaroo Island - Adelaide

Stop At: American River, American River, Kangaroo Island, South Australia
Start your day with a full cooked breakfast at the Mercure Kangaroo Island lodge. Keep an eye and ear out for the rare Glossy Black Cockatoo's that frequent the hills surrounding the Lodge's grounds as they are frequently spotted eating the local sheoak nuts.

Stop At: The Oyster Farm Shop, 44 Tangara Drive, American River, Kangaroo Island, South Australia 5221 Australia
Our first stop for the day is a guided tour around the Kangaroo Island Shellfish farm in the picturesque, seaside town of American River - the heart of the Island’s oyster industry. See where the oyster leases are located, local birdlife including black swans and pelicans, and learn how oysters are farmed. This tour
includes a shucking demonstration and you will have the opportunity to taste a freshly shucked oyster!
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Clifford's Honey Farm, 1157 Elsegood Rd, Kingscote, Kangaroo Island, South Australia 5223 Australia
We then go from salty to sweet at Clifford's Honey Farm where you can taste a complimentary sample of honey from the last remaining pure strain of Ligurian bee in the world. Introduced to Kangaroo Island in the 1880s the Ligurian bee honey has become an attraction not to be missed. You will also be provided with a delicious tasting of their honeyed ice cream.

Stop At: Emu Ridge Eucalyptus, 691 Willsons Rd, Kingscote, Kangaroo Island, South Australia 5223 Australia
Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery has been a Kangaroo Island tourist attraction since 1991 and is the only commercial Eucalyptus Oil distillery in South Australia. They produce a 100% pure Australian Eucalyptus Essential Oil that is unique and produced from the Kangaroo Island Narrow Leaf Mallee. There is a large range of natural products available through their farm gate retail shop. This is also our stop for lunch comprised of a mixed selection of sandwiches, tea, coffee and cake.

Stop At: Seal Bay Conservation Park, Seal Bay Road, Seal Bay, Kangaroo Island, South Australia 5223 Australia
After lunch we’ll visit Seal Bay Conservation Park where you can take in the breathtaking rugged views of the south coast, whilst viewing the Australian Sea lions playing in their natural habitat. Seal Bay has been home to an Australian sea lion population for thousands of years and offers one of the most exceptional nature-based experiences in the world. Australian Sea lions are unique to South Australia and Western Australia. They are an endangered species – their total population is approximately 12,000. Seal Bay is the third largest colony of this magnificent, wild creature. The boardwalk provides a perfect platform to view these animals in the wild.

Stop At: Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, 4068 Playford Hwy, Seddon, Kangaroo Island, South Australia 5223 Australia
Visit Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park which is one of Kangaroo Island’s best wildlife attractions. Get up close and personal and hand feed the local Kangaroos under the supervision of a wildlife official. With over 150 species of Native Australian wildlife and approximately 600 animals, the park has a wide and exciting range of animals for every age to enjoy including koalas, penguins, wombats and wallabies. This is also the home to many animals rehabilitated after the devastating bushfires.

Stop At: Penneshaw SA 5222, Australia
Travel to Robs Shearing Demonstration which provides a chance to watch Kangaroo Island local farmer Rob work together with his well-trained sheepdogs to round up sheep in the yards. Rob then puts his expert shearing skills on show, by shearing one of his flock and entertaining you with his local stories. Rob will then use a spinning wheel to spin wool into a fine, even string creating a lovely ball of merino yarn.

Our final stop is Penneshaw where you’ll have time to savour a delicious pizza or bowl of pasta from the local Pizza bar.

Say goodbye to your guide and join ferry and return coach back to Adelaide.
